I lived in faith street, a row of cottages next to the pub and backing on to Fremilns brewery, sadly now long gone. I went to Eastbough primary and Vinters boys. Read was the sadistic headmaster. There were some good teachers like GRaham and Sheldon.

Don Westerman Maidstone I remember it well: I remember visiting the Corn Exchange in Maidstone around 1965 - 1968 where the Daleks from TV'S Doctor Who were making an apperance. Does anyone else remember going, or have a more specific date or year, or even any photographs ? Hi there I can remember going to see the Daleks upstairs at the Market Buildings sorry can't help with a more specific date though. I recall the the area had wooden floors and a stage at one end and the area where the Daleks were was cordoned/roped off.
