Maidstone I remember it well: Like John Newick I remember the Chineese laundry above the old fire station in the old arcade. Pretty sure it was held on a sunday and I remember a large picture of aphrodite in a sea shell on one wall. It was indeed a disco and played a variety of music including a little ditty by Slade, "All right everybody". The management forbad any foot stomping to this record because the floor would literally bounce with the rythm. Pals and I would also see groups and I particulary remember Judge Dread miming over records. Great days
