I was at Oldboro from Sept 1964 to July 1969. It was a great school with its range of teachers and their abilities and skills. I recall Mr Beynon who taught technical drawing and who unfortunately passed away either in my first or second year. There was Mr Cocksedge (woodwork), Mr ? (Metal work) and Mr Wallis (Art) whose son Jeremy played in the school orchestra like me. Other teachers Mr Houghton (Science), Miss Emery (French), Miss Caiger (English). There were the holiday trips to Europe - I had three trips to Germany different regions. We used to have the school bazaar, sports day, cross country running (short and long course), swimming in the school pool.
