It was Richards Ladies clothes shop late 60s early 70s but was something else in between I think.

Maidstone I remember it well: Naomi, from memory I think it was an upmarket female outfitters, but I can't recollect the name (Paice/Page?) no doubt in the coming days Terry (McKenna), Hugh (Shannon) or even Pete will furnish the answer, maybe an ex-employee will tell. Good luck

Maidstone I remember it well: Thanks for the 'vote of confidence'in my memory banks Jim Y.!! I looked up Subways and saw an address of 66 Week Street; which i think is LHS coming from St. Francis RC school days towards the High Street. If so Naomi I can remember "Richard Shops" which did sell 'upmarket' ladies clothes! (though a little worried Jim should remember!!). The reason I know I hasten to add was that my dad Mac was friends of the manager and his wife. They did go on to open a small food place and I remember the shop opened especially and only, to sell our Hot X Buns on Good Friday and 1 year they sold over 100 dozen of them. Why I remember that is because my 'job' on that day was literally running up and down the massive bakery table crossing the damn buns!! By the end of the day I was HOT and Cross myself!! Hope I've got the right shop for Naomi..
I'm seriously worried about you two and your knowledge of ladies clothes shop. Pete
but and I add but if it is the one I think you refer to it was opposite corner to the Beehive stores.

Maidstone I remember it well: OK.I wont pursue the Subway hunt. Thanks for your tact and understanding Capoff. To J.Y.Do you remember Eileen O"Toole a fair haired young lady from a few decades ago at St.Francis? If this has been duplicated or even triplicated, its not my fault as there appears to have been some sort of mis pasting by our local friendly Site facilitator. This could well be sent tongue in cheek but who really knows?
