Maidstone I remember it well: Les - I remember the owner of that Chinese Restaurant spending quite a lot of his time in The Queens Head. I can't recall his name but the restaurant was definitely almost opposite the QH close to a bank. I could be wrong about it being the only one in Maidstone back then but I always thought it was. Many a happy hour spent as a young teenager listening to records in the booth at the store in Week Street without actually buying the records!

Me & my mate Barry Robinson used to regularly go into the Chinese Restaurant-Yuet Yang-We used to call the owner Captain & we'd always have English food-Barry-steak & chips & me chicken & chips. We once left a coconut under the table by mistake, which we'd won at Mote Park fair & we had got all the way up the High St,when we heard an excited Chinese voice--turned round & saw Captain chasing after us holding the coconut like a shot-put.
