Maidstone I remember it well: Well, this has kicked off a whole load of memories. I now remember the Fiesta Coffee Bar, where I spent AGES over one coffee with various mates. The bus station was opposite and the cinema was next door. I remember seeing various pop stars at the cinema (Billy Fury, Dell Shannon, Gene Pitney, Gene Vincent .... and many more)Did't hear much fo the singing as we screamed so much - oh dear !!

Posyanne Benoy Maidstone I remember it well: Hi Les, my memory may be wrong but I think the bus station was opposite the Fiesta in 1964 when I remember going there to celebrate O Level results from Maidstone Grammar School for Girls. I was blonde and wore a black wig and my friend Jackie was dark haired and wore a blonde wig for the occasion . I lived in Shepway and used to walk to school to save bus fare to spend on coffee and cigarettes (oh dear!!). I now see that the walk was almost 3 miles each way. Still love walking now

Around 64 I would pop around to see my mate the late Dave Tree who worked at the slaughter house that was behind the old bus station on the way home.think that closed when the bus station moved.
Thinking back there was a time both the Bus stations were open
