Maidstone I remember it well: To, Peter Highams , Peter I remember the Cavaliers but I don't remember that game and certainly don't remember drop kicking anyone if you knew me well you would remember I was the most gentlemanly of players ask Terry Franks . I caught up with Tery amongst many other people when I was in Maidstone in 2011 a lovely man and probably the fairest referee I came across. Since my last submission I have had my 70th had my second knee replaced and am back fighting fires for my local Rural Fire Brigade [all volunteer's] here in Central Queensland we are in the middle of a severe drought we have not had more than 5mm of rain in any one day since the 12th of June & probably won't get any till late November early December. Pretty scary. Take care, Bernie Martin.

Peter Highams
Maidstone I remember it well: Hi Bernie. I think it was Bob Jeffreys in goal in that game.Good to here you are well and fighting fires. It was another top of the table clash between the Tavern and Caverliers and it was unfair to say you drop kicked me.It was more a kung Foo Kick. Those were the days.Only see Terry Franks at funerals now.Top referee for those sort of games.Good crowds around a council pitch in those days. Regards Peter
