Maidstone I remember it well: To Barry Simpson, as you say not a good time to be proud of, but hopefully we have learnt. John hunter was another paper boy there, his dad had a good job with Reeds & lived in accommodation in Tovil green. His brother was Michael who somehow got blown up in the quarry up burial ground hill he badly injured his leg. Regarding Bob ford he seemed to fall off the radar. I know he married Leonora Pallet, but I heard they got divorced don't know if that was true. We did have some good times in Tovil, happy days nobody had much, but good times

Hi Freddie,
As a old boy of Southborough 1956/60, I remember Bob Ford. He was running a company in Sheerness renting out Fruit Machines, Juke Boxes, Pool Tables etc. the company has now closed down and I think Bob is living in Minster on Sea, Isle of Sheppey. I also remember Gordon Jones and Larry Beal do you?
Cheers
Mike Smith
