Maidstone I remember it well: Hi Jeff: Thanks for the confirmation regarding The Rolling Stones and their Granada appearance. As for The Beatles I remember a massive headline in the KM which simply read: BEATLES IN SECRET FILMING... They were in fact filming the scene of them singing "I am a Walrus" where they ran from each corner of a big square on the airstrip at Malling doing silly things like forward rolls and silly expressions on their face. I think Richard Lester was the director and it was for the TV film Magical Mystery Tour in 1967!! I think. Funnily enough The Beatles appeared quite a few times here in Bristol where I live and at the seaside resort of Weston-Super-Mare but had more or less stopped live shows by the time I arrived in the West country in 1968. Only meant to be here for about 6 weeks and STILL here 45 years later!! Les were you thinking of trying to do another reunion after the dismal showing at The White Rabbit? My hospital visit gave me a legit reason for NOT being there. Subject to further ops. (and there will be at least 3!!) I really hope to make the next one. Just a thought... You're right David Lawrence it has been very quiet on here recently but these sites do sometimes go that way. David did you go to St Francis primary school in Week Street by any chance? I seem to remember a Lawrence family. Mr Capoff (Capon), Hugh Shannon and even Jimmy Yarwood: I thought I was the ONLY quiet one!! That'll stir one of them up Les!! Keep up the good work and I love the photos of places like Mote Park and do miss those magical nights when the Fun Fare was in town. Lastly, what a great season the Stones are having again back at "Home" in Maidstone. My dear friend Trevor Miles and his Dad Ron would have been so happy:
