Maidstone I remember it well: I Remember the Brunswick House Pub, all the Dossers would be outside It. The Doss House was just up the road a bit, near where Bychurch Place now stands, I also remember Pettits under the Market Buildings, the old boy that ran It was a bit short with you sometimes, and other times really kind, a nice man though. He used to sell Jokes there to, ie Sneezing Powder, Nail through the finger etc.. Peter Tough, a former Stones Winger, worked along my Street (Foster St)

I think you got the pubs mixed up the Duke of Brunswick was on the corner of Brunswick rd west.the doss house was up the road next to an other pub before the ware house then Chisholm's Motor Bike Shop
