Maidstone I remember it well: Hello to Margaret Bowman, Great to see your memories and the fact that you were born in the town in 1920. I'm afraid I came along just after your leaving the country in 1948 for Canada so, albeit many years later, my parents who owned the grocery and provisions shop at the bottom of Boxley Road on the corner opposite the jail wall (just down from Curzon Road opposite the Royal George pub) - that would virtually make us neighbours, just separated by time Ha Ha! Alas I'm now in Cardiff but miss the town very much but get back as often as I can. Without wishing to sound patronising Margaret, Good On You keeping up with all these modern day cyberspace social/networking sites - I thought I was doing well! xx
