Maidstone I remember it well: Hello Les, What a fabulous site. I'm only sorry I've missed it 'til now. I've lived in Maidstone all my life & I'm now pushing 60 with a very short stick, (born jan '56). I started school age 4 at St Francis in Week St, moved to Holy Family when it opened (I think in 65) & then to the Boys Tech from '67 'til '73. Anyone remember me ? I have 3 brothers: Kevin, Terry & Michael who all went to the Grammar School and 3 sisters: Margaret (Girls Grammar who is now sadly no longer with us)Eileen (Vinters)& Patricia (St Simon Stock). I would love to hear from anyone who remembers any of us, or who remembers the police phone box at the top of the High Street; Cigarette machines on the street; traffic and narrow pavements on Week St, Bank St & Gabriels Hill; "No Spitting" signs on the trolley busses (smoking upstairs on same); the M&D bus station opposite the Granada (last bus always left before the movie ended goddammit !) and when anybody behind a counter, desk or bar called you "sir" or "madam" instead of "mate" or "love" (sorry-Meldrew moment),or gawking into the window of the gun shop in Bank St. I have too many memories to list in one post.

Hello Peter, Thank you .Well Peter Capon started it .I moved it over to a forum as the original site had no more room. This is easier as you just can reply to posts put up photos ,the other site had a complicated photo system. I also had trouble with my BT email address so I lost a lot of email addresses .
