Maidstone I remember it well: Does anybody remember the Howard de Walden Youth Club in Rose Yard around 1958/60. I have forgotten most detail but the manager was "The Purser, and the name Paul Sparks always comes to mind. There was a Juke Box and there were two girls who were sisters who danced together every night. Are you two girls still out there, who were they or are you?? The Howard de Walden was part of the route to my growing up, starting from the YMCA in Union Street, through Howard de Walden then enjoying adulthood ie Burtons fitted suits on tic, and the London Tavern with Tom Record and Reg Bearsby. Thursdays were always at Highfield House and then weekends at the Star.
Did Anybody else enjoy this upbringing
