Maidstone I remember it well: I was born in the Pie shop,5 the broadway in 1951 my father and mother owned it, there names were Freddie and Bubbles George not sure when they bought it!! I think we left in 1953 and moved to The Bull Hotel in Gabriels Hill. I attended St Margarets school then to Southborough school I have many fond memories as a young boy, its been mentioned about Hubble&freeman which was just below the Bull Hotel also can anybody remember bottom of the hill Nicholas Kingsmans pie and bread shop and also there was a fish&chip shop close too but was many years ago and my Fathers St,bernard dog called Major and German sausage dog called Jerry. We left Maidstone in 1956 and moved to Wye my parents had a pub called the Victoria Inn.. If anybody can add any comments to this,i would love to hear!
if i remember correctly
