George William MacArthur Reynolds
George William MacArthur Reynolds was born at Sandwich 23 July 1814 to Post-Captain Geotge Reynols RN wife and Caroline
The Reunold famiy were well established in east Kent.and the Family has been traced back to Tomas Renold who died 1587 in Preston.
He went school at Ashford under Dr Nance.
then on to the Royal Military Collage at Sandhurst.
After 2 years he dropped out and travelled on the Continent .
He was intrest in Politics, French life and literature.
At 21 1835 he married Susannah Frances Person 4 years younger that him George Edward was born before September 1835
George William MacArthur Reynolds became public through 2 periodicals a 'Poliitical Instructor ' that did not last long and a weekly newspaper that lasted to the middle of the 20th Century.
In 1940 they were liven in Hackney .He had Translated and published Work of Victor Hugo and Published
He had published 2 volumes of the 'Modern Literature of France , a work on the story of grace darling and 'Pickwick in Fe---------------------------------------
At the 'London Dipatch ' he become a journalist. but his radical views were he was outspcken.So he left the paper at the end of 1847 as the year of revolutions was brewing in Europe.
In France Loiis-Philippe was ousted Renyords was a target in the ' Dispatch '.
Now he had his prelogical ventures so could put what he wished.
He had moved to Wellington Street that was off the strand.
1848 he made it public that he was a member of the Chartist movement.
The Reform Bill in 1832 ,this gave this working class Movement a chance to expand.
The People's Charter , that the movement became kown as.
They had secret ballots. Demanded universal suffrage, annual parliments.payments for M.P. the aboliyion of propetyy qualification for electors and equal
electors and electoral districts .
The Reforms were regarded as extreme at that time.
March 1848 George William MacArthur Reynolds Chaired a Chartist meeting to for the reform of imcome tax.
the government had banned expeting trouble .They appealed to people to stay away..
In Trafalgar Square a lage crowd turnd up and Reynolds lead them to his home in Wellington Street and from his balcony addessed them
they were in favour of the revolution in Paris.
1848 the chartist were very active thought to be driven be what was happening on the continent.
Renolds became a leader and tried guided the thinking of his followers.
A ginormous poyition which they hoped to present to parliament that he had organized with a March from Kennington to Westminster .
The Goverment were concerned and took drastic mesures like fortify building enrooted .
but not as many turned up.
The petition contained silly signitures like cartoon carictors.
It got to the house of Commons in a fleet of Hansom cabs.
This affected the Chartists so Reynolds tried to resolve the matter.
1849 the name was changed to the Nation Reform League he travailed all around the country campaigning and into 1950 bot did not sucssed/
12 May 1950 Susannah gave birth to Kossuth Mazzini after Hugarian and Italian heros of event in 1848.
They moved tp herne Bay they got a place at Marine Terrace.
there eldest son George Edward was 15 and caught Typhoid and live just 3 more dats.That was on 23 September.

He continued wiith'Mary Price'. Editing Magazines and trying to develop Chartist polices.
sometime the end of 1854 they moved back to Herne Bay to Gotic House into Belmore hall.
Renyold played a part in organizing the town he was Commissioner 20 time out 39 he attended.
up until September there was 58 meetings.
1984 3 October George William MacArthur Reynolds wife Susannah died .
She was Epileptic At Herne Bay was an Iresishman William Alcock Dockall .he claimed to have a cure for Epilepsy.
his formula was a secret. This he advertised in Renynold publications with testaments from grateful patients,
In that day and age epilepsy was a bit of a taboo subject.
It is thought maybe this is why they moved to Herne bay.
Susannah is buried with her son George .they also had 2 girls Louisa and Emily
