I was at West Borough Primary & Secondary school from 1947 until 1955 when I was accepted to join Maidstone County Technical School for boys. My sister, Anita Anslow also attended the same schools as well as South Borough later on. Our family lived at 25 Dover Street until the mid fifties when we moved to Postley Road and ultimately, South Park Road.

My father Donald Letchford was a teacher at Westborough Secondary school from the early 1950's on Tonbridge Road and then moved with the school to its Oakwood park site when it changed its name to Aster of Hever, he continued to teach until his death in 1983. Have found old school class and whole school photos taken when on old Tonbridge Road site 1950's and 1960's. Looking for people who might be in photos and can help date them.

Hi Guys I was at Westborough from 1962 - 1967. Don Letchford was the Technical Drawing Teacher based at Oakwoods. Mrs Smith was the deputy head teacher and Mr. Diamond was the headteacher. Had a couple of wacks of the cane from him. Miss/Mrs Kelly I think was my old form teacher 4A. I lived in Wateringbury and used to bus in each day. Glenda Hook was the Head Girl at one stage - she came from Nettlestead Green. Great to hear from anyone
